Different smart Tags are used for efficient online marketing. Some of them are as follows:

• In general, keep your Meta description tag limited to 250 characters and keywords tag limited to about 1,000 characters or less. Meta tags can be placed in databases and the recommended way to separate them is by using commas.  Some webmasters avoid using commas in order to save characters and fit more keywords into their tags. This method is not recommended as you want search engines to recognize separate terms. It does not matter if one uses commas or semicolons to separate keywords in Meta tags.
• Web designers use headings to sum up previous ideas or introduce new ones, text within these tags often contains the most significant information on the page.  All three major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN gives extra weight to key terms placed in header tags. One should create Header Tag with a lot of keywords and make a logical sentence.  All Tags are Descriptive text along an image which describes the image.  It is useful to disabled people using text browsers.  One should always use important keywords.
• Use the Meta description and Meta keywords tags on all pages.
• Include keywords when creating description.
• Make the description appealing to the reader.
• For the Meta keywords tag, list keywords in order of importance.
• Don't overdo the number of keywords for the Meta keywords tag.
